The Last Mission: Blog

Hello, my name is Hervis Guerrier and overall, this year has been pretty fun I've learned a lot of new stuff like vocab, movie deconstruction, and filming. What I heard in the pass from this class was pretty accurate. It's been really smooth throughout this year. Personally, I still movie and now I have a pretty good understanding of movies now. Movies are really awkward like the acting part of it.My favorite movie genre is probably horror and fighting action. I love the Halloween series I just love how every year the producers make a good scary and suspenseful movie. I also love the marvel movies. I follow everything in marvel from all the iron mans to all the Spiderman I've been in thirst for a new Spiderman luckily a new Spiderman is coming out. I personally think that I'm creative when I'm in a perfect mind space like with drawing when I start to draw for a long session progressively, I get better and think of more ideas as I go. My main passion is playing football. I hope to go to the collegiate level and possible further but in order to achieve that goal. I have to be a student first and work hard in my education. I want to work for my Cambridge diploma to help lighten the college load if i happen to not get a scholarship. IN my free time i either play video games like rainbow 6 siege a tactical shooter game. It's about two sides offensive and defensive side on the offensive side 5 operators trying to defuse the bomb while five opposing operators try and defend the bomb. this game it really takes strategy hand and eye coordination, communication and teamwork. Rainbow 6 is really fun and exciting, I really like perfecting my craft in football by myself, Also, right now I'm enjoying this game called NBA 2k22 I got it for Christmas, and I haven't been able to stop playing it. I love to listen to music while I do anything from homework to listening to music while I shower.in these days I tend to find myself lost in music I love it that much. I listen to all types of genres but my favorite to study is lo-fi music it helps me focus up on my studies. I love to listen to hip-hop before football games to get me in the wining mindset. Well to conclude in my life right now I only prioritize school, sports, and my wellbeing in life. I only see what fits in my life as a benefit and remove the rest that cause any harm or discomfort towards me that's the type of person who I am.

  So, with my group we discussed about our music choice. We choose a variety of different songs that correlate to the genre or idea of our film. To start off with the song ''I Can't Breathe" by H.E.R.  she wrote in response to the recent spate of police killings of unarmed black citizens and the swell of protests against police brutality and systemic racism. Editing boom

 hey today was our first editing day. Me and my group mates discussed all of the editing tools like iMovie, Photoshop express, and Picart. Also, our main editor Airel finished putting all the files together and chopped up all the clips. Airel also suggested us to watch videos on how to utilize open shots. So as suggested I researched and found: Activate Openshot Click File>New Project in the upper left corner of the screen. To add videos and photos to your project, drag files from your file explorer into the OpenShot project files section, or choose file>Import Files and then import the files that you require. Locate the images or videos you want to include in your movie and click open. The video/picture will be displayed in the center of the screen. This is your schedule. The slider is located above the timeline. Moving the slider to the left expands the video/pictures on your timeline, making it easier to edit smaller segments of your project.  Hello, for my commercial I wont be working with anyone. The reason for this is because I don't have many friends in the class and I don't want to make any because I find it hard to make friends now. Everyone having to quarantine I've lost my social skills and developed anxiety anytime I even try to talk to new people its very difficult so the easiest way for me is to say by self. I've been working by my self these past two years and I feel like I work more efficiently when I work by my self. I feel like now I cant change now but in future projects I will try to at least work one a person.
