planning music

 Props- Our group went with a storyline that focuses on aspects of black culture (specifically in Africa and America). Props will include things like 

-school bags

-books

-sketchbooks

or any other indicators of a hobby and objects related to hair, like combs, picks, and durags. We have chosen songs that have both aspects of Traditional African and African American culture. So, overall, you will be seeing the different parts of Black culture.  

Costumes---- In our music video, the style will revolve around trends in black culture. This includes 

-turbans


-headwraps


 -natural hair being shown


-  streetwear 


items. There is no need for specific clothing since this is a more casual setting. The setting and the costumes will fit in with the storyline of the song we have chosen. 

Schedule----  

11/16/21- Our group will plan all needed elements for a successful video 

11/19/21- Our group will create the storyboard for our 1 minute and 15 second music video. 

11/20/21- Our group will film all possible shots.  

11/27/21- Our group will continue to film.  

12/4/21- Our final filming day, editing can start here if possible.  

12/6/21- Editing begins if it could not on 12/4. 

12/8/21- Final touches for editing.  

12/10/21- Final review and error fixing.  

12/13/21- Our final product will be uploaded.  

 

Location List---Our locations will be outdoor spaces. They will include things like walls with graffiti art, parking lots, basketball courts, public parks.   

Backup----If we cannot film in those areas, we will film in an indoor public space like a mall or plaza.

  So, with my group we discussed about our music choice. We choose a variety of different songs that correlate to the genre or idea of our film. To start off with the song ''I Can't Breathe" by H.E.R.  she wrote in response to the recent spate of police killings of unarmed black citizens and the swell of protests against police brutality and systemic racism. The meaning of this song really correlates with our movie because we are showing the same thing H.E.R is talking about. As she is highlighting what's going on with the world. Editing boom

 hey today was our first editing day. Me and my group mates discussed all of the editing tools like iMovie, Photoshop express, and Picart. Also, our main editor Airel finished putting all the files together and chopped up all the clips. Airel also suggested us to watch videos on how to utilize open shots. So as suggested I researched and found: Activate Openshot Click File>New Project in the upper left corner of the screen. To add videos and photos to your project, drag files from your file explorer into the OpenShot project files section, or choose file>Import Files and then import the files that you require. Locate the images or videos you want to include in your movie and click open. The video/picture will be displayed in the center of the screen. This is your schedule. The slider is located above the timeline. Moving the slider to the left expands the video/pictures on your timeline, making it easier to edit smaller segments of your project.  Hello, for my commercial I wont be working with anyone. The reason for this is because I don't have many friends in the class and I don't want to make any because I find it hard to make friends now. Everyone having to quarantine I've lost my social skills and developed anxiety anytime I even try to talk to new people its very difficult so the easiest way for me is to say by self. I've been working by my self these past two years and I feel like I work more efficiently when I work by my self. I feel like now I cant change now but in future projects I will try to at least work one a person.
